School Dressing Days  

NEEDED FOR SCHOOL DRESSING DAYS:

NEW CLOTHES, GENTLY WORN CLOTHES AND VOLUNTEERS!

SCHOOL DRESSING DAYS Please keep School Dressing Days in mind when shopping or cleaning out your children’s closets during the next few weeks. This important community event, sponsored by the Interfaith Community Council, will be held on Aug. 14th, 16, and 17th at the Bragg Hill Family Life Center. In particular, Beth Sholom has been asked to donate men’s jeans in waist size 32, any length, backpacks, and deodorant. Please leave your donations in the coat closet in a bag marked SDD by July 1st. Gently worn items may be donated until August 6th. Volunteers are needed to sort clothes Aug. 2-12, 9-noon. Setup for Dressing Days - August 14th 9am - 4 pm. August 16 9 am to 2 pm and Aug. 17th 9 am - 12 noon. For additional info. contact Diane Kowalski at 540-786-1208.

DONATIONS NEEDED:

· Good, clean, gently worn clothes and shoes appropriate for school;

· New or gently used backpacks;

· New school clothes (including boxer shorts, socks, girls' underwear) in all sizes;

· Cash (please make checks payable to Beth Sholom Temple with memo to School Dressing Days).

In particular, Beth Sholom Temple is asked to donate Men’s jeans in waist size 32, any length, backpacks and deodorant.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

Sort clothes - August 2-12, 9:00 until noon

Set up for Dressing Days - August 13

Dressing Days - August 14 – 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.; August 16 – 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.; August 17 – 9 a.m. – 12 noon.

FOOD FOR LIFE-
Beth Sholom Temple are looking for 10-12 Youth Group members and adult volunteers every 1st Saturday of the month to work at the local Food Bank.  All Temple members are welcome to participate with this mitzvah activity.  Contact Arlene Gettlin for further information.
 
 
 
COLLECTION FOR FREDERICKSBURG AREA  FOOD BANK-
We have an on-going collection of canned, and non-perishable food for the Fredericksburg Area Food Bank.  Drop off your donations in the Temple lobby closet area. Thank you for your support in this on-going collection.

Beth Sholom continues to support our community and the Thurman Brisben Center. 
All donations can be dropped off at Beth Sholom Temple.
